There’s an emerging trend in Architecture.Stairs are making its way back as a central feature in a space.
They are no longer the second grade citizens in the world of vertical transportation. Buildings are installing slow elevators to encourage walking! These trends remind of the legendary slow elevator in PG Hospital, Dhaka. OK, hospital may not be the optimum choice for demonstrating a lifestyle statement with slow elevators but at least it’s not as regressive as thought out to be (provided you’re not the patient but a visitor). This may even be considered as a component in the slow living movement(right along slow food, slow home, slow fashion and even slow blogging).
